MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone, and a happy new year. Enjoy the festivities and see you in 2006!

West Country la la la West Country la la la

Last weekend saw another trip down to the West Country. It was great to see my mates again, and also to take in an Argyle match. What's more - WE WON!!!!!!!!! Nick Chadwick scored probably the quickest goal at Home Park, in roughly 11.5 seconds (timings vary depending on which report you read), with Capaldi scoring less then a minute before the end to make the final score Plymouth Argyle 2 - Crystal Palace 0. I was quite happy about this - unlike my Palace supporting uncle and cousin who had both made the trip down to watch the game. I bumped into them before the game - and my uncle tried to introduce me to my cousin's friend as my cousin's niece!
Note to self: do not rub it in that we beat them when my uncle comes up to see us over Christmas!
Apart from that – spent most of the time walking between various pubs/coffee shops in the city centre and along Mutley Plain meeting up with mates.

Rioch Arena

Well, on Saturday, dad, Mr Jones, Mr Dacombe (Owen and Kev) and the totally insane Miss Brebner (ie ME) all went to Coventry, and more specifically the new Rioch Arena, home of Coventry City FC. It is a very very nice ground, but then as this is its first season it should be.
Before the game Owen, his former housemate and I were watching the Liverpool Wigan game (3-0 to the might Reds - Crouch finally scoring), while they were taking the mick out of me - as per usual!
Dad and I had fantastic seats, right at the top of one of the stairways - so noone was sat in front of us.
The game itself: well Argyle did take the lead, through Dave Norris (my fav player). We then unfortunately kinda conceded um, well 3, but hey, we had a great day out, followed by a Chinese take away on the way home!
