Godly Play

Recently I have become involved in Godly Play, and have put a link to the official Godly Play website. It's a way of teaching Bible stories using props with a script, not using eye contact, then having some "wondering" questions, and having a response time, where the children (or adults) are free to respond to the story in what ever way they want - if that's doing some art/craft, reading more in the Bibles, playing with the things used for that story, having a wonder outside (for adults if there is a suitable outside) or just sitting doing nothing. I really like it. One of the things that I particularly like about it is the way it allows whoever's partaking in it to get as much or as little out of it as they can that particular day, which I think is great.
I'm sure there will be more details about this coming up.

Dancing Generation

I've only just managed to find this song, which we sang at the Children's Ministry Conference back in January. Helen and I were jumping around to this soo much, it was really quite funny!

YOUR MERCY TAUGHT US HOW TO DANCE, To celebrate with all we have, And we'll dance to thank You for mercy.
Your glory taught us how to shout, We'll lift Your name in all the earth, And we'll shout to the praise of Your glory.

It's the overflow of a forgiven soul, And now we've seen You, God, Our hearts cannot stay silent.

And we'll be a dancing generation, Dancing because of Your great mercy, Lord, Your great mercy, Lord.
And we'll be a shouting generation, Shouting because of Your great glory, Lord, Your great glory, Lord.

Ice Ice Baby!

Yesterday, Claire (on left), Steph (on the right) and I all went over to Nottingham to watch some ice hockey. Steph is a Nottingham Panthers fan, and persuaded us to go over to watch a match. We had such a fab time, it was brilliant. The Panthers won - which is always good. I've never been to an ice hockey match, and was told to keep my eye on my puck, as that would be the only way I would keep up with it. I will def be going again - in fact, if Notts Forrest come up this season, we've all decided that if the Panthers are playing at home the same day as Notts Forrest play Argyle at home we'll go to both matches.

Unlucky

I am soo gutted, disappointed, and every other kinda word like that today. Argyle got knocked out of the FA Cup last night. We played really well, and had our chances, but were just unlucky. Anyway, watched the draw for the semi finals today, and surprise surprise Watford got Man U at home. This has happened the last few years, the club who's knocked Argyle out of the cup go on to play Man U at their home ground. It's a conspiracy I tell you!

Well done - you lost!

So Liverpool are through to the quarter finals of the Champions League. YEAH! Cue major celebrations. However - we did actually lose on the night, only went through on away goals. I kinda forgot the whole losing part whilst I was celebrating, and breathing huge sighs of relief at the same time.
