Burnley away

So Saturday saw me visit my 24th league ground, Turf Moor at Burnley. Due to the fact that trains couldn't be bothered to get me back before 7 the next morning, I drove up there, which meant leaving at 8, as John was getting in at half 10. So we met up, and soon were joined by Marcus (another stray we've picked up) Kev, James and a Burnley fan. Now, Burnley and Argyle have history shall we say, and not a happy one. We were relegated there in 1998 and they beat us in the Div 2 play off semi finals in 1994.

The game itself, well we were poor to say the least particularly in the second half, but hardly surprising as the team we put out hadn't played together. We lost 1-0 in the end which they prob deserved.

The ground: Well nothing particularly special, plenty of space under the stand, but wooden seats in the away section. Argyle fans have a chant about northern places like Burnley, which is unrepeatable on here, but its fairly accurate as far as Burnley goes. Will give it a 6 on the leader board.

Next up, Southampton at home on Sat. COYG!!!!!!!!! (come on you greens).

Random randomness

So, long time no blog (again). So, How was your Christmas/New Year? Mine was ok, pretty much same as always. Grandparents came to stay as usual, as did my sister's boyfriend. New Years was once again a quiet affair, went over to Steph's with Phillippa and played on her nintendo wii, vvvv cool.

Still no news on the job hunt, but will inform when I have any.

Footy news: Went over to Norwich way back beginning of December. We lost (stupidly), my first game under our "new"(/old) manager. Have already rated Carrow Road, so can't be bothered to do it again! Just one comment on the game, IT WASN'T A PEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My next game was Watford. Another new ground this season. Seemed ok as a ground, however, the space underneath the stand was non exsistent! As it was freezing cold we were all getting cups of tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and there was just no room whatsoever! However, WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another goal from the FAB Chuck Norris, who we hope is going to stay at Argyle, or at the very very least does not join the disloyal twat at an evil town. It was another chance to catch up with some friends (inc Emily - with me in the pic), and even someone who I hadn't seen for ages, was vv cool to see you again. I'll give it a 6/10 on the leaderboard.

I also went to the Crystal Palace game the week after Watford. Well, what difference a week makes, we looked like a completley different team and we lost. I had to get driven back by my Palace supporting Uncle, I was glad that he didn't mention the result. Again, another chance to see some good mates, which was fabalous (yeah I know, spelt the wrong way, but it's the way I say it). Next up is Burnley this Sat where there is "previous" shall we say as we haven't won there in like, hundreds of years, and we got relegated there a few years ago.

FA cupness: Yeah for the Pilgrims beating Hull, now facing Pompey away, could be interesting. As I'm away that weekend, am kinda hoping it will be on TV, but knowing my luck it wont be.

Liverpool were PATHETIC against Luton yesterday, though actually in a way I'm kinda glad that they got the replay, gives Luton a bit more money which may just about save them.
