Camping in the rain!
So, I spent the weekend camping at Silverstone (home of British motor racing) watching the GP masters (ie various former F1 drivers, such as Nigel Mansell), and various other races. My friend Elspeth and I had such a fab time. It's been two years since I last went there, and even longer since I saw Elspeth, who I met at a CU leaders training week back in 2003, and haven't seen since (trying to explain that to some drunk lads in a nearby tent was really quite interesting.) We decided to majorly save up so we can camp for the proper British Grand Prix in 2008, as we think next year will be to soon.
Anyway, it was tipping down with rain, and stupidly windy most of Saturday night/Sunday morning, so not much sleep was had by us. However, our little tent stayed put, whereas some guys near us lost their, well what can only be described as a gazebo (where they parked their BMW) during Saturday. We didn't really laugh (much).
The races themselves were brilliant, well except for Nigel Mansell not managing to complete a full lap. Apart from that they were great races.
Now I am basically ready to go to camp on Wednesday, I just need to pack. So I will see you all sometime next week when I come back.
