Alan Smith
Having said that I hoped Alan Smith would make a full recovery after the FA Cup where he got really injured, it was great to see him come on against Benfica on Tuesday. Let's hope he continues his recovery.

A while ago I said that I had a wait to gain the PG side of my PGCE. Well it finally game yesterday. Now I am a fully qualified NQT! Hopefully I'll get a job soon! (or maybe not!). I'm still doing my supply teaching, which is going well. There hasn't been much, as its the start of term, but things are going to start picking up soon.
I'm sure I'm not the only motorist who is "rooting for" (quote from Jeremy Clarkson) Richard Hammond to get better and recover from his crash yesterday. I just hope he does make a full recovery.
Mum decided that we needed to buy a generic Sat Nav system, so we did. It is fab. No longer will I faf about with maps, getting stressed about not knowing where to go, particularly when it's just me in the car. It will change the route if you go wrong, or can't turn down a road that it wants you to, generally without shouting at you to turn around, which is just brilliant. It is really useful for me, as I'm driving around to different schools, in different towns, where I haven't been before, and don't really know where I'm going. I can now arrive nice and relaxed, whereas I could arrive stressed (just ask Owen!)
So the worst kept secret in F1 is now official - Michael Bootmaker (Schumacher - in case your wondering) is retiring, and Kimi Raikkonen is going to the Italian team (team that begins with F and ends it errari). Most of us in the know pretty much knew this already. Even though at the moment I'm a Kimi supporter, once he leaves to join said Italian team I will despise him. Instead I will be supporting the person who I'm not particularly fond of - Mr Fernando Alonso.
I hereby acknowledge that I was wrong about Andy Johnson. He is clearly not rubbish, having scored against Liverpool twice this afternoon (although there was more then a little bit of luck about one of them!)
