DON'T MENTION THE FOOTBALL

What a waste of time, effort and money! I have no one to blame but myself. On Saturday I dragged my poor, long suffering dad to Portman Road to watch Ipswich take on the mighty mighty Argyle boys. We lost 3-1, with two goals coming from corners and the final coming from a penalty, which at first I didn’t think was a penalty, but having watched the um, I want to say highlights (apart from Buzsaky’s goal), but can’t, it was a penalty. It then took us about 45-50 mins to get back out of Ipswich and onto the road home.
The ground itself – decent enough place – though the concrete on which the seats had been put had not been cleaned before that seats had been put on, which made it seem dirty and untidy. I found that there was not enough legroom – and I do not have the longest legs in the world so what it must have been like for those with longer legs I wouldn’t like to think.
As is normal for us Argyle fans, we seemed to make more noise then the home fans, who weren’t even singing when they scored a goal – so we were able to sing “1-0 and you still wont sing!” at them, which we enjoyed. The most frustrating thing about it was that our manager did not make one change to the team – even when we went 3-1 down!
We must hope for better things for the boys in green and white in the future.
