Cups!
Well this weekend saw the first FA/Tennant Scottish Cup action for my teams this season. Yesterday I went over to Wolves to see the Wolves vs Argyle game. Um, yeah well, never mind! We played shockingly! We did only lose 1-0 though. I have just about thawed out now. It was snowing in Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon, and we were freezing.
On the way back I was getting texts about Luton vs Liverpool game. Now, as an Argyle fan I'm not particularly fond of Luton - all because of their former manager Joe Kinner, so I was not that happy when Luton went 3-1 up. However, I was much happier when I got the final score which said 5-3 to Liverpool. When I phoned up Owen to discuss both games, he said how stupid I was going to watch the game and I would have done better staying at home and watching the Liverpool game. He also told me about the spectacular nature of Xabi Alonso's goals. Having watched them this morning - he was right. His second one was out of this world - from half way inside his own half! If you haven't seen it - shame on you.
This afternoon I settled down to watch Clyde vs Celtic in the Scottish FA Cup. The least said about it the better. Ben Kay sums it up quite nicely in his text to try and wind me up - "Celtic: out played and out witted. Clyde: out standing out of this world- Celtic: quite simply OUT!
Now I am watching Burton Albion take on the might of Man Utd! The magic of the FA Cup.
