Sincil Bank
Today I went to Sincil Bank, the home of Lincoln City FC to watch them take on Barnet. I already dislike Barnet because they put Argyle out of the Carling Cup in September. Barnet took the lead but Lincoln managed to score 4, much to the delight of Gemma G (a mate from college who is a Lincoln supporter) and the other Imps fans. It was nice for me to be at a football match where I wasn't particularly worried about the result - compared to normally when I'm virtually inconsolable when Argyle lose!
The ground itself was ok, nothing special, but decent enough for a League Two club. The attendance was only about 4000 - which reminded me of my early Argyle days - back in the old Div 3 (now League 2), when attendances at Home Park were only about 4000, particularly on a Tuesday night.
That brings the tally of grounds visited so far to 13 - with 79 to go!
On another note - I want to say to someone - you know who you are - 1-0, get in there Harry Kewell! hehe
So, other stuff - college: well on Friday the 13th (what a day to have them!) we had subject audit exams, basically testing us on our subject knowledge in English, Maths and Science. We all came out of the Maths exam thinking we had done well, the English one thinking we had done ok, and the Science one thinking - pants that was rubbish! we will def be doing the resit!
Ah well, we wait and see.
Tomorrow I drive to Leicester to stay with my grandparents as I am on placement in Leicester for a week so we can get some multi cultural experience. A week without the internet. How will I cope?
See you all when I get back.
